The Reason I Joined Weight Watchers Freestyle

If you follow me on Instagram ,you know that I just signed up for Weight Watchers.

They've actually recently rebranded and now call themselves WW.

The reason for the rebrand was to focus on health & wellness more than weight loss.

Needless to say, with healthier lifestyle choices, weight loss will naturally follow.

The last few months have been busy with travel, birthdays and a whole lot of take out food.

As a result, I found myself gaining 30lbs.

It wasn't until my oldest daughter took a photo of me from behind, to show me the braid she put in my hair, that I realized I really needed to make a change.

I had been feeling more tired than usual and my clothes weren't fitting anymore, but this picture was my realization that I couldn't go on like this anymore.

The last time I weighed this much was when I was 9 months pregnant.

A few months back, my grandma joined WW and within 3 months was down 30lbs and over all was feeling a lot healthier.

I decided to look it up and there happened to be a 50% off sale going on so I signed up!

There are two options for WW
1: Workshop & Digital
2. Digital

The first option includes in person workshops and weigh ins once a week and access to the online app & website.

The second option is digital only, which is what I opted for because it was the more affordable option & I can do it all from an app on my phone.

I'll still weigh in once a week from my home.

With the digital option I'm able to track my points, find recipes, be a part of the online community within the app.

There's also a huge community on Instagram I can turn to for encouragment and support.

Because of the promo I believe I paid something like $2.99 a week for 12 months.

Unfortunately, that promo is over but if you use this link you can sign up and get one month FREE.

The thing I love most about this program so far is that it's helping me make healthier choices for myself.

I was going to go to Mcdonalds for lunch today, but when I put it into my app and saw that it would take up nearly 3/4 of my points for the WHOLE day I opted for this healthier option instead.

There's a ton of healthy options that are zero points, like fruits, veggies, beans & lean meats.

I'll be sure to keep yall updated on my journey and share recipes and more!

If you have any questions at all, leave them for me in the comments below!

To be healthy, to feel good and look great would always be a valid reason in reducing weight.

  4. My cousins started on WW and it's being going really well for them! I used a few apps awhile back (like noom and lifesum) and, while I didn't lose any weight, I felt a lot better being conscious of my intake.

  7. Aww man Weight Watchers reminds me of this awful thing I did when I was younger. My boyfriend and I at that time, walked into a WW eating ice cream. The girls were so grossed out, they said they could smell the ice cream and fat in it. It was fun then, but I am paying it with my weight now.
