I am very excited to announce that today I am starting a new feature on the blog called
Mommy Crush Mondays
Every Monday I will feature a Mom that I think is inspiring.

Today I am featuring Britton.

Mama to a beautiful 1 month old baby named Harper.

Life before baby was very different than it is now. I played in a band called "Cavaliers!" and was lucky enough to tour across Canada, record two albums and have lots of other amazing opportunities. This was after graduating York university with a degree in music performance. Once the band decided to part ways, I took a teaching job at a private school and moved in with some friends that I had known for quite a while. It was while living there that I met Adam - and after the first night of meeting him we were completely inseparable. I knew right away he was it for me. I then decided to go back to school to get my bachelor of education so I could find a job in the public system. And while at school, we got an unexpected surprise.. We got pregnant! Haha. While unexpected, we were beyond happy. And now that she's here, we can't imagine our lives without her.

How has life changed since becoming a Mama?

Life has changed in the way that I can't just leave the house when I want, if I can shower it's a good day.. Haha, everything is on a Harper schedule. But life is definitely full of lots more love and disbelief that we were able to create this little person!!

What does a typical day in your life look like? As of right now, it all revolves around the Sleep, Poop, Eat schedule of Miss Harper. If I can get anything else done, it's an extra good day haha. She keeps me very busy.

One thing you wish someone had told you before becoming a mama. I had LOTS of people giving me lots of different advice. But one thing would be how hard breastfeeding can be in the beginning.. But how it gets SO much easier and is so rewarding.

I found amazing nursing tanks from target and they make life so easy. And they're cute!

Harper loves to sit in this and feel

the vibration. Relaxes her and puts her to sleep.

What is the best parenting advice you have been given?

To trust yourself - people will tell you what to do and what to think - but trust yourself and your instincts. And that everything WILL get easier. Just breathe

What do you most look forward to as a new mom?

Watching her grow and become a unique, individual little person. And for all the fun activities and holidays and places we can go.
