2019 Back-to=School Backpack Guide

As bitter sweet as it is, Summer is nearly half way over.

We've had a lot of fun this Summer so far with trips to the beach, Canada's Wonderland, library days, visits with family & friends and more.
We're definitely getting to the point in Summer Break though, where were all kind of sick each other haha

Don't get me wrong, I love the extra family time and slower paced mornings, but I think we're all craving routine at this point.

My kids have actually already started making their back to school lists haha

Backpacks are at the top of the list each year.

I let them pick a new one every year because

 1- a backpack is essential
2- a backpack can totally make a style statement and show ones personality

I actually already purchased our oldest daughter's backpack at a Canada Day festival.
We found this really cool, one of a kind, canvas backpack that was perfect for our creative girl!
She's going to stick her favourite pins, patches and even draw on it with some sharpie markers.
I love that the plain canvas will allow her to get creative and express what she's into.

I love browsing through all the different backpacks and I've put together some of my favourites below.

DIY Dollar Store Faux Plank Wall

I was at Dollarama with the kids the other day and saw these packs of faux wood wall stickers for $3 a pack!

I didn't have a project in mind but knew I couldn't pass up on such a great dollar store deal.

I have a little desk set up in our living room where I do my work (small home problems haha) that was looking pretty sad, so I decided I was going to add them to the big wall in this space.

This whole space cost me only $40 and I absolutely love my work area now.

I actually went back to the dollar store afterwards and cleared them out of these faux wood stickers because this project inspired me to tackle another area in my home too!

I'll share that when I get around to it sometime next week.

If you have a limited d├ęcor budget, check out your local dollar store, it's amazing what you can find!
